A new cup titled “The Crypto Cup,” will be released in a partnership with Coinbase on Mario Kart Deluxe 8. This cup will include four tracks: Blockchain Battlecourse, Crypto Cruise, Bitcoin Boulevard, and Coinbase Carnival. In each track, gamers will learn about crypto and collect bitcoins which can be used to unlock tracks in Crypto Cup.
Each track will walk players through cryptocurrency and enable users to collect real bitcoins as they play.
To collect bitcoins, players will create a Coinbase account to store their digital coins. In turn, they can use this crypto to purchase more levels, tracks, karts, and characters within the Mario Kart game or watch their money grow.
For this campaign to live on Coinbase, and to encourage some friendly competition, Coinbase will release a live cryptocurrency coin tracker of all Mario Kart Crypto Cup players.
